Blu Lapis Media hosted its Veterans Appreciation Awards Gala on October 4th at Sycuan Casino, an evening dedicated to honoring the brave guardians of our freedom. The elegant celebration brought together community leaders, veterans, and supporters to recognize the extraordinary service and lasting contributions of distinguished San Diegans.

Among the evening’s honorees was Kate Monroe, who received the prestigious Veteran of the Year Award, a testament to her unwavering dedication and impactful advocacy on behalf of veterans across the region. The night stood as a heartfelt tribute—filled with gratitude, inspiration, and pride for those who continue to serve both country and community.

Proceeds from the event went to Workshop for Warriors who continued to offer training and placement to our Veterans.
