Saturday, July 20th was Opening Day at the races, featuring the annual Hat Contest orchestrated by Deena Von Yokes of Studio Savvy in Rancho Santa Fe. As with all past years the event drew a large audience, both to observe and participate in the contest itself, and to fill the grandstands and the Turf Club for the start of the racing season.
