Uncorked Derby Days turned the Del Mar Race Track into a sea of clinking glasses on November 28th as wine lovers and race fans came together for one of Bing Crosby Season’s most spirited traditions.
A Trackside Toast to Fall Racing
Set along the iconic stretch run of the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, Uncorked Derby Days is designed as a complete experience for wine lovers, pairing trackside horse racing with an expansive wine festival right above the rail.
Sip, Swirl, and Savor
Uncorked Derby Days is known for its impressive selection of premium wines from regional, and national producers. Guests moved from table to table with souvenir glasses in hand, discovering everything from crisp Sauvignon Blancs and elegant Pinot Noirs to festive sparkling wines perfect for holiday toasts.
Pouring With a Purpose
Beyond the glamour and tasting tables, Uncorked Derby Days also pours with a purpose. A portion of event proceeds benefits Urban Surf 4 Kids, a local nonprofit that uses surf camps and water therapy to support foster, orphaned, and at-risk youth. For many attendees, knowing their afternoon of indulgence helps fund life-changing experiences on the water adds a meaningful dimension to the festivities.
A Premier Seasonal Tradition
By late afternoon, as the final races ran, guests filtered out with souvenir glasses, favorite new bottles to seek out, and plenty of photos in their derby best. With its blend of world-class racing, expansive wine tasting, festive fashion, and charitable impact, Uncorked Derby Days at the Del Mar Race Track has firmly earned its reputation as an annual tradition.
