The Patrons of the Prado held their masterpiece 2023 Gala celebration, "OUT OF THIS WORLD" on Saturday, July 8th at the Spreckels Organ Pavilion in Balboa Park. It was a festive occasion to explore and discover the Arts, Sciences and Beyond! An unforgettable voyage to new galaxies, interstellar explorations, as attendees celebrated beloved Balboa Park and those who devote themselves to preserving the Prado as an iconic center for art, theatre, science, and history.
Once a year on a starlit summer evening, the Patrons of the Prado all-volunteer organization orchestrates the most anticipated fundraiser of the season to raise funds to support ten educational and cultural centers on the Prado in Balboa Park. Funds raised in 2023 will benefit ten beneficiaries.
The founders had an unique vision to provide unrestricted funding which allows our beneficiaries the freedom to maximize the impact of these gifts by aligning funding with their strongest needs. Since its inception in 1997, Patrons of the Prado has granted over $4.4 million in funding to the Gala beneficiaries.
Patrons of the Prado is an organization of dynamic and accomplished women who have made nurturing the arts and culture in San Diego a high priority in their lives. Through their collective belief in their cherished cultural institutions of the Prado, they connect with each other, the beneficiaries, and every visitor to Balboa Park.
They are driven by their passion and mission and ask the community to join in by supporting Patrons of the Prado.
