The evening of September 9th, Promises2Kids held their sold out gala for an exclusive evening of dinner and music to benefit foster children hosted at the La Jolla estate home of Joan Waitt. One of the greatest bands of all time, Kool & the Gang with fan-favorite hits such as “Celebration”, “Cherish”, “Jungle Boogie”, “Summer Madness” and many more performed a melody of hits before a festive gathering of attendees at the Dream On Concert Gala.

This performance was just prior to the induction of the band into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in October! Kool & the Gang have also earned two Grammy® Awards, seven American Music Awards, 25 Top Ten R&B hits, 9 Top Ten Pop hits and 31 gold and platinum albums. Kool & the Gang have performed continuously longer than any R&B group in history and their bulletproof funk and jazzy arrangements have also made them the most sampled R&B band of all time.

The annual Dream On Concert Gala is attended by over 500 philanthropists, community, and business leaders dedicated to creating a brighter future for foster children^®. This extraordinary event featured a sunset cocktail reception and elegant dinner. The private concert followed immediately thereafter. Each year is a sell out and raises critical funds benefiting San Diego County foster children of all ages.
