Rady Children's 111th Ball

On Saturday, February 29th at the Hotel Del Coronado, Rady Children's Hospital held its 111th Anniversary Charity Ball titled Leap Into The Future, which began with a festive cocktail reception. Arriving guests were welcomed to enter the banquet room to mix and mingle prior to enjoying a sit down dinner and entertainment in the glorious Crown Room.

Invited attendees previously were offered VIP box seating, which has been one of the elements that has characterized Charity Ball and added to its uniqueness. Borrowed from European ball tradition, each of the 50 “boxes” provides a discrete cluster of eight seats arranged around two small bistro tables near the dance floor. It was once the custom that those occupying the boxes would “receive” visitors at their boxes just as they would have at home. 

All Proceeds from this Black Tie gala will be used to further benefit state of the art research at the Rady Children's Institute for Genomic Medicine.
