SD Museum of Art Bloom Bash

The Bloom Bash held on April 24, 2026, served as the high-energy kickoff for the San Diego Museum of Art’s iconic Art Alive weekend, transforming Balboa Park into a vibrant hub of "joie de vivre." This year’s late-night fete drew inspiration from the bohemian glamour of Toulouse-Lautrec’s Paris and the electric spirit of the Moulin Rouge, blending fine art with an immersive nightlife experience. Revelers enjoyed an exciting night of pure enchantment featuring:

  • Exquisite Flavors: Culinary delights from over 35 of San Diego’s top restaurants alongside craft cocktails and fine wines.
  • Immersive Art: Exclusive after-hours access to nearly 100 floral interpretations within the museum galleries, including a central rotunda installation by designer Kelsea Olivia.
  • Electric Entertainment: Live music by DJ Kara, the iconic Ferris wheel on the Plaza, and captivating performances by Aerial Revolution and Twisted Orbit Circus.

As the museum’s premier fundraiser, the Bloom Bash combined world-class floral design with a festive, Parisian-style celebration to support the institution's year-round educational and community outreach programs.
