On the evening of December 3rd, the T3 Foundation transformed a section of the Museum of Contemporary Art in La Jolla into a world of intrigue, elegance, and charitable purpose as it hosted its highly anticipated Masquerade Murder Mystery Gala in support of Curebound, one of the region’s leading collaborative cancer research initiatives. Guests arrived dressed in their most glamorous attire—many adorned with ornate Venetian masks—ready for an immersive night of suspense, philanthropy, and celebration.
As the evening unfolded, guests were transported into a theatrical setting where actors, clues, and interactive storylines unfolded throughout the night. Laughter mixed with gasps of surprise as tables worked together to solve the evening’s elaborate “whodunit,” turning every guest into a sleuth. The live performers, perfectly in character, wove through the room dropping hints and misdirection, keeping the mystery alive until the dramatic reveal.
Against this playful backdrop lay the evening’s true purpose: advancing life-saving cancer research. A heartfelt program highlighted Curebound’s mission to accelerate innovative clinical trials and scientific breakthroughs. Inspiring testimonials from researchers and advocates reminded attendees why their support matters so deeply. The energy in the room swelled during the live auction, where spirited bidding raised critical funds to fuel the next wave of discovery.
Gourmet cuisine, signature cocktails, and live music rounded out the festivities, while the elegantly decorated tables—filled with winter florals created an atmosphere both festive and refined. By the evening’s close, the T3 Foundation’s Murder Mystery Gala had accomplished more than offering an unforgettable night of entertainment—it galvanized a community around hope, innovation, and the shared belief that through research, answers are within reach. It was a night of mystery, meaning, and unwavering generosity.
