Women of Dedication Luncheon

Women of Dedication 2026: An Afternoon of Grace, Purpose, and Community

On Wednesday, November 5, the La Jolla Country Club opened its doors for the Women of Dedication Luncheon—an elegant gathering where civility met service, and the 2026 honorees were formally announced. Framed by sweeping ocean views and classic club hospitality, the afternoon celebrated the extraordinary women whose leadership, philanthropy, and daily acts of compassion strengthen the fabric of San Diego.

A Tradition of Service

The Women of Dedication Luncheon is more than a social highlight—it’s a civic ritual that shines a spotlight on those who quietly lift others. Each honoree is recognized not for a single achievement but for a sustained record of giving: mentoring the next generation, rallying resources for families in crisis, advancing education and arts access, supporting military and veteran communities, and meeting basic needs with dignity and care. The recognition underscores a simple truth: when women lead with purpose, entire communities rise.

An Afternoon of Warmth and Welcome

Guests arrived to a graceful reception that encouraged connection—old friends greeting one another, new alliances forming over shared causes. The program wove together heartfelt remarks, music, and moments of reflection, culminating in the announcement of the 2026 class of Women of Dedication. Applause echoed across the ballroom as each name was read, honoring remarkable journeys of service and the collective impact those journeys create.

What the Honor Stands For

To be named a Woman of Dedication is to be recognized for steadfastness: the late nights behind the scenes, the unheralded phone calls, the board service, the fundraising, the advocacy, and the willingness to step up when others step back. It affirms a model of leadership grounded in humility and results, measured not in press clippings but in lives changed—children fed, seniors supported, students equipped, shelters strengthened, and dignity restored.

The Power of Philanthropy—Put to Work

While the luncheon celebrates a new class of honorees, it also fuels year-round programs that meet urgent needs across San Diego County. Funds raised help provide food security, rental and utility assistance, recovery and reentry support, outreach for people experiencing homelessness, seasonal programs for families, and critical services in times of disaster. In that sense, the event functions as a bridge: transforming appreciation for service into tangible resources that extend the reach of compassion.

A Call to Community

The spirit of the luncheon is invitational. It asks each of us—businesses, civic groups, families, and individuals—to take our place in this ongoing work. Volunteer. Mentor. Sponsor a program. Support a drive. Amplify the efforts of this year’s honorees and the many partners who share their vision. The Women of Dedication story is not finished; it is written annually by those who believe service is both a responsibility and a privilege.

Looking Ahead

With the 2026 honorees now announced, the year to come will celebrate their contributions while rallying momentum for the mission they embody. The afternoon at La Jolla Country Club offered a clear message: grace paired with grit can move mountains—and when San Diego’s women lead with both, the whole region benefits.

Honorees will be formally introduced at the Women of Dedication luncheon to be held on May 15, 2026.
