Concours d'Elegance La Jolla

Held along the iconic lawns of Ellen Browning Scripps Park at La Jolla Cove, the three-day experience blends world-class automobiles with coastal sophistication, gourmet cuisine, live entertainment, and the unmistakable charm of the La Jolla Village. More than 150 rare and vintage vehicles—from meticulously restored classics to modern hypercars—will be showcased against the dramatic backdrop of the Pacific. 

But the Concours is far more than a car show. It is a full weekend of events designed to celebrate the culture of luxury automobiles and the vibrant spirit of the La Jolla community. 

The weekend begins on Friday evening, April 24, with an exclusive opening celebration known as Motorvault. Set on the Concours lawn beside the ocean, the evening offers an atmosphere of refined indulgence featuring culinary creations from some of San Diego’s top chefs, inventive craft cocktails, and an illuminated preview of the weekend’s extraordinary collector automobiles. Guests can also enjoy artistic entertainment and a lively auction, setting the tone for the glamorous days ahead. 

Saturday begins with the Tour d’Elegance, an elegant driving tour through the scenic roads of San Diego County featuring some of the most exceptional automobiles participating in the weekend’s concours competition. This exclusive driving experience allows collectors and enthusiasts to enjoy their vehicles in motion before the judging begins. 

Later in the evening, the festivities shift into the heart of the village for the popular Porsches & Power on Prospect. Prospect Street transforms into a vibrant showcase of legendary Porsches, exotic supercars, and cutting-edge hypercars displayed alongside live music, gallery openings, retail celebrations, and special culinary offerings from La Jolla’s acclaimed restaurants. This lively street celebration is free to the public and is one of the weekend’s most energetic highlights. 

Sunday: The La Jolla Concours d’Elegance The centerpiece of the weekend arrives on Sunday, April 26, when the lawn above La Jolla Cove becomes an open-air gallery of automotive history. From pre-war classics to rare European grand tourers and iconic American designs, the Concours presents an extraordinary collection curated for both historical significance and breathtaking beauty. Guests stroll among the vehicles while enjoying champagne tastings, live music, gourmet food, and sweeping ocean views. 

Beyond the stunning automobiles, the Concours has long been recognized as a community event benefiting local organizations and celebrating the heritage and culture of La Jolla.
